Inez Chandler Todd

Inez Chandler Todd, 95 of 651 Rhodes Drive, Elberton, formerly of Lincoln County, wife of the late Henry Dail Todd, died Wednesday evening, June 1st, 2011, at the Spring Valley Health Care Center in Elberton, Georgia. 

Mrs. Todd was born in Elbert County, June 21, 1915, daughter of the late Raymond E. Chandler, Sr. and Susie Mae Mattox Chandler.  She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of the Golden Age Club in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina.  She was the oldest member of the Bethel E. Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Mae and DeWitt Waters, Stanley, North Carolina. Janelle and Allen Campbell, Dailene White, all of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, Joyce Simpson of Abbeville, South Carolina, Kaye Poss of Elberton, Georgia, and Bobby and Diane Todd of Tignall, Georgia; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Sara Chandler of Elbeton, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.  Several neices and nephews also survive.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2PM Friday, June 3rd, in the Bethel E. Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Mize officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Todd will be placed in the church at 1PM to lie in state until the service hour.  The family is at the home of Kaye Poss, 1621 Melody Lane, Elberton, and will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday night, at Berry Funeral Home.
